Warehouse Racking Systems in Little Rock, AR
Choose a storage system by its working task: individual pallet access, repeated reserve loads, inventory rotation, long-stock support or hand picking. We supply new systems and plan the layout around that task.
Direct access and deeper reserve storage
Selective pallet rack is the starting point for general distribution with mixed products and independent pallet selections. At the Port, in Galloway and along Scott Hamilton Drive, the useful comparison is access against the number of pallets held for each item. Pushback stores compatible pallets on carts from one aisle; drive-in uses forklift-entered lanes for repeated loads. Both require an agreed retrieval pattern rather than a blanket density target.
Pallet flow moves suitable loads from a loading face to a separate retrieval face. Grocery and foodservice distribution may need that rotation, including in cold storage where actual temperatures and handling conditions must be confirmed. Select system depth only after defining pallet quantities, weight ranges and batch movement.
Long materials and the pick face
Cantilever rack supports lumber, steel pipe and building materials with an open loading face and arms positioned for the stock. Carton flow supplies cartons toward the pick face for e-commerce and smaller-order picking. A 3PL warehouse at South Port Commerce Center may need both full-pallet reserve and hand-pick storage, while a materials operation near the I-30 corridor may need long-load handling separated from packaged parts.
Newer 32–40 foot clear bulk buildings and older 15–28 foot clear industrial stock need different beam-level arrangements. We check columns, loaded pallet heights and forklift reach against the actual space. More height does not create usable positions unless the equipment can place and retrieve the load.
Compare the complete working layout
A system comparison should include row direction, aisle widths, loaded turns, receiving buffers and replenishment routes. The Port, North Little Rock's East Broadway district and west Little Rock near I-430 and Colonel Glenn Road have different operating settings. Describe your own door assignments and material route; a nearby highway or rail connection is not an indoor layout specification.
Installation staging also matters during hot, humid summers in non-air-conditioned buildings. Identify the unload point and areas released for work, with weather interruptions considered in the sequence. If changing buildings, settle the destination product allocation through the warehouse relocation plan before moving inventory into unassigned temporary areas.
