Pallet Racks in Little Rock, AR
Warehouse storage starts with the load and the truck. We plan, quote, supply and install new pallet rack systems around your pallet sizes, clear height, beam capacity and working aisles.
A rack layout for the building you actually have
Little Rock has newer 32–40 foot clear bulk distribution buildings at South Port Commerce Center, Port 440 and in the Galloway district, alongside older 15–28 foot clear warehouses in southwest Little Rock, older Port buildings and North Little Rock's East Broadway district. Those are very different storage envelopes. We measure the proposed rack area, place columns and doors on the drawing, and check usable forklift reach before counting beam levels.
General distribution often needs selective pallet rack so each product remains individually accessible. Deeper pushback, drive-in or pallet-flow storage can serve repeated pallet groups, but retrieval order and pallet compatibility must be established first. Cantilever supports longer lumber, pipe and building materials; carton flow serves hand picking. One building can need several functions without requiring the same system in every zone.
Receiving and reserve storage at the Port
The Little Rock Port Industrial Park covers about 4,000 acres in east Little Rock on the Arkansas River slackwater harbor off I-440 and Frazier Pike. The Port of Little Rock Railroad switches to Union Pacific and BNSF. Barge access reaches the Mississippi and Gulf through the McClellan-Kerr Arkansas River Navigation System. For a warehouse using those connections, the rack drawing must keep the real receiving and transfer route visible instead of treating every open strip as a pallet row.
E-commerce and 3PL warehouses in the Port and Galloway areas need reserve inventory tied to replenishment and picking. Foodservice and grocery distribution introduce rotation and cold-storage questions. Building-material and manufacturing operations may instead prioritize long loads or heavy components. Tell us how the goods arrive, where they wait and what happens after retrieval; those details determine useful aisle and row placement.
Installation planning is part of the storage plan
Hot, humid summers affect crews and staging in mostly non-air-conditioned buildings. Spring severe weather with tornadoes and hail, and occasional winter ice, can interrupt the work sequence. We coordinate released areas, component unloading and the receiving paths that stay active during installation. For a cooler or freezer, supply its actual operating temperature; metro ammonia-refrigerated storage can reach about -10°F.
Little Rock connects I-40 and I-30 with I-440, I-430, I-630, I-530 and the I-57 corridor. A move from the Scott Hamilton Drive area to a Port building should begin with the destination layout, not a copied set of old rows. Clear height, pallet profile and loaded turns need checking again so the storage arrangement supports the new operation.
